‘Gorenje’ is a Slovenian producer of large household appliances and interior furnishings. In 2005 the company decided to organise a competition for their new corporate identity. At that time I was working at Gigodesign studio in Ljubljana and, together with Matevž Medja, decided to take part in the competition.
Over the years the logotype became the basic identifying element and adding another visual element, such as a symbol, would be redundant. Therefore we've decided to redesign the existing logotype by retaining its basic proportions yet adding freshness and increasing readability. The new logotype was the basis for a bespoke typeface GoSans.
